I am Yvonne and I am an educator by profession in many ways. In addition to many years of professional experience in daycare centers and child care facilities, I worked as a private educator in private households and business families in southern Germany, Austria and Spain for several years.
I have been a private educator in my own family for four years and am currently planning to found a Christian musical daycare center for the Miehlen Protestant community.
I am Andreas and, in addition to my family, I love God and my job as a banker. I often invest my free time in the conceptual orientation of our Protestant community in Miehlen. Mentoring is also one of my passions.
Hobbies: Worship on drums or guitar, mountain biking, and valuable conversations.
House & Vicinity
Our 5 1/2 room apartment is located in a quiet cul-de-sac on the ground floor of a two-story residential building. The city center can be reached in 45 minutes on foot through the “Großer Garten” city park or in 15 minutes by tram.
There is an organic food store around the corner. Other shops, post office, pharmacy, a restaurant and small snack bars with a wide range of offerings are a five-minute walk from us.
Buses and trams are available to explore the city. Alternatively, you can rent our bikes. By car or S-Bahn you can reach Saxon Switzerland with its hiking trails and excursion destinations in about 45 minutes. We are happy to provide information and maps
Prayer room
The prayer room is located within the guest area. Songbooks, a selection of spiritual books and a guitar are available. If you would like to take part in worship times in a larger community, you can visit the Lobpreishaus Dresden near us.
Room & Kitchen
Our guest area consists of a bedroom for one or two people, a separate hallway (with window) and a private guest bathroom. Together with the prayer room, the guest area is separated by a curtain. The bed can be used as a single bed or as a 160 cm wide double bed. It can also be converted into a couch during the day. At sunrise, the view from the bed falls onto the spacious terrace. It is equipped with garden furniture, a parasol and a hammock. There is space for your own things in the guest room and in the hallway area. There is also a dining area with a refrigerator, dishes and a kettle. Our large kitchen can be used for cooking, baking and washing up upon request.
Talents & Offers
43 years of marriage, three children, four grandchildren, ten different employers and seven moves under the guidance of God have shaped our lives and allowed us to gain a wealth of experience. We are happy to share this treasure and look forward to times of encounters. You can also take a break with us all to yourself and Depending on your wishes, you can take advantage of conversation or prayer support.
It is also possible to benefit from our skills: Otmar stands for equipping for service, leadership topics, productivity with outlook, nutrition and losing weight. Barbara stands for time management and household management, creative offerings and “women’s issues”.
We would also be happy to help you find the most beautiful places in Dresden and get to know our adopted home a little better.

Arrival and inquiry
Before you arrive, we ask you to consider the following: We neither meet the requirements of an anonymous hotel, nor those of a therapeutic facility or a nursing home. We want to ensure positive interaction during your stay. We therefore ask you to discuss any restrictions you may have with us. Otherwise, we reserve the right to cancel your desired stay prematurely.
There is free parking available for those arriving by car. Our FamilyHome can also be reached by public transport. The nearest train station is Dresden Hbf. From there take tram 10 to Straßburger Platz. From there take tram 1 or 2 to Zwinglistrasse.
