Host Joachim:
My name is Joachim, I studied mechanical engineering and education and I like to tinker and optimize. I am an enthusiastic Jesus friend, a happy husband and father of three brilliant children. My heart has long beaten for people who seek God, for community and for praise. I dreamed of a house where you could live in peace. As if by a miracle from God, we found the house in Hohensall. It is a gem that I really enjoy living in with my wife and making it inviting for those seeking peace and quiet. I was born in Wolfsburg in 1964 and met my brilliant wife in Stuttgart. Intensive involvement in youth work in various communities, organizing evening services, holding seminars, and worship are some of the many enriching facets of my life.
Host Susanne:
My name is Susanne and I was born in Stuttgart in 1966. I also completed my training as a gardener and pediatric nurse there. I really enjoy living in a small hamlet in beautiful nature.
I love being in authentic community and opening up our home. I also value and need peace and solitude in nature. My hobbies are cycling and reading.
House & Vicinity
Our well-renovated, almost 300-year-old farmhouse is a little jewel in the Hohenlohe region. It offers a 56 m² holiday apartment in which many people have spent quiet days, refreshments or simply vacationed.
The surrounding area is characterized by a plateau crossed by many valleys. The two rivers Kocher and Jagst give the landscape its character. Fields, forests and streams characterize the rather sparsely populated Hohenlohe.
Prayer room
In the building next door there is a newly renovated and wonderfully furnished prayer room with an anteroom on the first floor. It was completely renovated in 2022 and will be “inaugurated” in 2023.
Room & Kitchen
The cozy living room has a stylishly furnished and fully equipped kitchenette. The bedroom is spacious for two people plus a cot. An additional single room is included. The couch in the living room can serve as a place to sleep for one adult or two children. Further equipment: separate entrance door; car parking space; central heating; Bathroom with a shower; small library; various games and puzzles.
Talents & Offers
Our talents are based on our dependence on God as Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. In our house we live a personal relationship with God. We are happy to invite others to experience this with us. By arrangement, we offer our guests personal conversations, prayers and individual blessings with listening prayer. The protection and healing of the heart is particularly important to us.
Our talent is to accompany and encourage people. Jesus' word about the second mile is a vivid image for us: to go along part of the way and to encourage. We want to be a channel for God's love and speech.
Our daughter has had a rare metabolic disorder since birth. Through them we learned that every person has their own story and their own pace and that pressure, stress and fear prevent the personality from unfolding and developing. With this in mind, we have focused on looking at what serves life and what the heart needs.
We find it very important to learn to pay attention to the inner speech of the heart. By offering relaxation and peace, we want to create space for this.

Cost
Each guest should give an amount that corresponds to their abilities and their heart. You can therefore determine your own amount within a range:

Before you arrive, we ask you to consider the following: We neither meet the requirements of an anonymous hotel, nor those of a therapeutic facility or a nursing home. We want to ensure positive interaction during your stay. We therefore ask you to discuss any restrictions you may have with us. Otherwise, we reserve the right to cancel your desired stay prematurely.
There is free parking available for those arriving by car. Our FamilyHome can also be reached by public transport. The nearest train stations are Neuenstein or Öhringen. You will be picked up at the train station.
